Laser staking with the LQ-Spot
“Riveting with light”, laser staking is a new method for the form-fitted joining of two components by plastic deformation. Unlike conventional joining techniques such as ultrasonic or hot-gas staking, the LQ-Spot does not come into contact with the plasticized material. The tool therefore remains uncontaminated.
Special features of the LQ-Spot:
- localized energy input
- no damage to sensitive components
- no cleaning necessary
- critical process parameters monitored directly
- integratable into automated production systems
Laser staking with the LQ-Spot is perfect for quickly and securely joining all of the thermoplastics suitable for laser plastic welding, e.g. PA, PP, PBT, POM, PC and PE. The compact laser staking tool is hardly any bigger than an industrial screwdriver and can therefore be used without any problems at any number of positions in the automated production process.
