Melt Travel Monitoring

Melt travel monitoring is the most rigorous monitoring tool for quasi-simultaneous welding. It enables the detection of direct and indirect faults during the ongoing process.

The principle: Allow just the right amount of material to be melted to compensate for the production tolerances in each of the welding partners. This produces reliable tight weld seams corresponding to protection classes IP-67 and IP69K. Depending on the process variant chosen: It either stops the welding process after a set time, a measured melt-travel distance, or when a fixed stop is reached.
