Clean room

Services for more and more precise welding processes are available in the clean room at the LPKF Application Center:

• Process evaluation for welding under clean room conditions
• Implementation of microfluidic welding
• Welding with a laser focus of only 70 µm
• Production of sensitive plastic modules

The clean room complies with clean room class ISO 5 and is exposed to a continuous slight overpressure. All of the exhaust air from the permanently installed laser systems is filtered and released outside of the clean zone. An air lock with protective clothing ensures that no contamination enters from outside. And all of the workplaces are equipped with lamina flow units to further reduce the number of particles in the air in the vicinity of sensitive microfluidic components.
